Daily Prompt – Since many are marking their country’s “birthday” in the US today, we wanted to ask: How do you celebrate yours? Are you all for a big bash, or more of a low-key birthday boy/girl?
Today’s it’s my prompt that is selected and I am the one that is late to respond (or is it just my thinking?). Well, first of all, to all the Americans reading this post, a very happy Independence Day.
Now the prompt. I am kind of quiet being. I don’t like being much flashy to celebrate big birthday bashes or conduct huge parties. I just relax, thank God that I am alive, curse myself that I am one day more closer to my deathday and live my normal day. I hang out with my friends in the evening and have a small party at night with no one but my family.
Birthdays are the most special days that come only once in 365 days (or 366?). It is the day that is dedicated to just ourselves. We are our own boss.
It is America’s 238th birthday and I hope they all will out today celebrating it. No one will sleep today. Whereas here I am, in India, re-reading and simulating it in my mind the American War of Independence from one of my old history books.
Are you like me? Tell me in the comments…
