MAC Address Spoofing in Windows

It has been many days since I haven’t written any technical post. So here it is. In this post, I will explain how you can spoof (clone) the MAC address of your network card. Just follow these simple steps.

1. Open network connections panel from the “Run” dialog or from control panel, whichever you find easy.

The "Run" command.
The “Run” command.

2.Right-click the network card whose MAC address you want to spoof and select “Properties”.

Right-click menu of the connection.
Right-click menu of the connection.

3.Click on the “Configure” button on the right side of the box.

Properties window of the connection.
Properties window of the connection.

4.Open the “Advanced” tab from the tab list at the above.

Advanced properties of the connection.

5.Select the “Locally Administered Address” property. Then select the radio button beside the value text box and type in the MAC address that you want without any dashes or colons, just the alpha-numeric characters.

And you are done. If it doesn’t take effect immediately, try disabling the connection and then enabling it again. That’s it. If you have any doubts, you can speak up in the comments section. Peace.
